Aegis Analytical Hires Neal as CTO - Software Industry Veteran to Lead Discoverant Product Development for Life Sciences Manufacturing Process Intelligence

LAFAYETTE, Colo., May 16, 2012 - Aegis Analytical Corp., the leading provider of Manufacturing and Process Intelligence software, announced today it has hired Mike Neal as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Most recently, Neal was consulting with software companies in product strategy and design and conducting research in the text analytics field. In prior CTO roles at IHS, SAQQARA and Requisite Technology, Neal was responsible for implementing Agile software, consolidating product architectures, managing global development teams and product roadmaps, and leading strategic sales efforts. As a senior engineer at Lockheed, he worked extensively on the company's graphical user interface. Neal has authored 19 patents in database, cataloging and Internet technologies over the past 12 years.

"We brought Mike on board to manage the growth of our product delivery teams, lead the Discoverant product strategy and help accelerate our product development," said Robert Di Scipio, Aegis president and CEO. "Mike's prior leadership positions and expertise will ensure that Discoverant continues to meet the life sciences industry's demands as the leading process intelligence tool for drug process quality and predictability.

Neal earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of South Carolina and a master's in media psychology from Fielding Graduate University. He is a senior member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the ACM Special Interest Group Computer Human Interface (SIGCHI) and IEEE.
